How to Enable Cookies and JavaScript

NOTE:
Both cookies and javascript must be enabled in your browser. If one of these features is disabled, you won't be able to use PressWise. If either of the tests fail, please follow the instructions below.

How to Enable JavaScript
Safari
  1. Open Safari
  2. Click on "Edit" (or the "Safari" tab on a Mac)
  3. Select "Preferences"
  4. In the "Preferences" window, select the "Security" tab
  5. In the "Security" tab section "Web content" mark the "Enable JavaScript" checkbox
  6. Close "Preference"
  7. Click on the "Reload the current page" button of the web browser to refresh the page
Chrome
  1. Open Chrome
  2. Select the icon toward the top right of the browser
  3. Select "Settings"
  4. In the "Settings" section, click on the "Show advanced settings..." link at the bottom
  5. In the "Privacy" section, click on "Content settings..."
  6. In the "JavaScript" section, click on the "Allow all sites to run JavaScript (recommended)" radio button
  7. Click "Done"
  8. Close the "Settings" tab
  9. Click on the "Reload this page" button of the web browser to refresh the page
Firefox
  1. Open Firefox
  2. In the address bar, type about:config
  3. Press Enter
  4. In the search box, search for "javascript.enabled"
  5. Toggle the "javascript.enabled" preference (right-click and select "Toggle" or double-click the preference) to change the value from "false" to "true"
Firefox 23 and lower
  1. Open Firefox
  2. On the web browser menu, click "Tools"
  3. Select "Options"
  4. In the "Options" window, select the "Content" tab
  5. Mark the "Enable JavaScript" checkbox
  6. In the opened "Options" window click on the "OK" button to close it
  7. Click on the "Reload current page" button of the web browser to refresh the page
Internet Explorer
  1. Open Internet Explorer
  2. On web browser menu click "Tools"
  3. Select "Internet Options"
  4. In the "Internet Options" window, select the "Security" tab
  5. On the "Security" tab click on the "Custom level..." button
  6. When the "Security Settings - Internet Zone" dialog window opens, look for the "Scripting" section
  7. In the "Active Scripting" item select "Enable"
  8. When the "Warning!" window pops out asking "Are you sure you want to change the settings for this zone?" select "Yes"
  9. In the "Internet Options" window, click on the "OK" button to close it
  10. Click on the "Refresh" button of the web browser to refresh the page
How to Enable Cookies
Safari
  1. Open Safari
  2. Click on "Edit" (or the "Safari" tab on a Mac)
  3. Select "Preferences"
  4. In the "Preferences" window, select the "Privacy" tab
  5. In the "Privacy" tab section "Block cookies and other website data" mark the "Never" or "From third parties and advertisers" checkbox
  6. Close "Preference"
  7. Click on the "Reload the current page" button of the web browser to refresh the page
Chrome
  1. Open Chrome
  2. Select the icon toward the top right of the browser
  3. Select "Settings"
  4. In the "Settings" section, click on the "Show advanced settings..." link at the bottom
  5. In the "Privacy" section, click on "Content settings..."
  6. In the "Cookies" section, click on the "Allow local data to be set (recommended)" radio button
  7. Click "Done"
  8. Close the "Settings" tab
  9. Click on the "Reload this page" button of the web browser to refresh the page
Firefox
  1. Open Firefox
  2. At the top of the Firefox window, click on the "Tools"
  3. Select "Options..."
  4. Select the "Privacy" panel
  5. Make sure "Accept cookies from sites" is selected
  6. Make sure Accept third party cookies is selected.
  7. Click on the "Reload this page" button of the web browser to refresh the page
Internet Explorer 9+
  1. Open Internet Explorer
  2. Click on the gear-wheel icon at the top right
  3. Click "Internet Options"
  4. Change to the "Privacy" tab
  5. Set the slider to "Medium"
  6. Click "OK". to close it
  7. Click on the "Refresh" button of the web browser to refresh the page
